Since the beginning 2010 the WMA and EVAA (World & European Masters/Veterans associations) decided in accordence with article 7 that (world, European, Balkan and national championships of all countries), will be supervised by a safety Officer judge.

These judges will be responsible for all safety aspects of the abovementioned championships.

They will also judge wether an event is contacted correctly or wether an athlete can take part or continue with his/hers events without placing his/hers health at risk.

For this reason the European Federation (EVAA) has trained and authorised six (6) safety judges for all European events. GEORGIOS KOSTARAS (also an international T&F judge) has been nominated as the safety judge for all events in Greece and Balkan region in general. 

We all need to support this initiative and make mr Kostaras work a bit safer and easier.
