Athens 13 March 2013
Dear President, dear Secretary General
Dear friends you have already received the official convocation for the ordinary Congress of BAVA which will be held in Athens on the 13th of April with the purpose of the elections for the new board of administration.
We would like to inform you that right to participate in order to vote and to be voted have the representatives of all Balkan countries participated in the BAVA’s Championships held from the day of its foundation (March of 2000) up today. That means the 12 Balkan Countries ALB – BIH – BUL – CRO – GRE – MDA – MKD – MNE – ROU – SLO – SRB and TUR.
According to the Constitution of BAVA the Board of Administration must be composed by a) President, b) 1st Vice President, c) 2nd Vice President, d) Secretary General, e) Deputy Secretary General, f) Treasurer and g) members (according to the number of Countries – members).
Also according to the Constitution
a) Committees can be created if necessary (for example Competition, Development, Marketing etc)
b) The ordinary congress and the elections are held in the city where the offices of BAVA are. That means in Athens for the time being. (This information is given in order to clarify why the proposal for an extraordinary election’s Congress in Izmir was rejected).
c) The official language is English
d) From each country member can be present the maximum 2 persons
e) Observers are allowed after a written invitation or application
f) Each country has one vote
g) The mandate for the new Board of Administration is for a period of 4 years
h) Proposals for changes of the constitution’ s articles and the entrance of new countries members can be discussed and approved only by the yes of the 2/3 of the members
Dear friends please take care that at least one (the maximum is two persons) representative of your country to be present in the Congress in order to have a correct, legal and faire procedure. Also try to submit the soonest possible the name of your representative and the position of the board he or she is running.
For the accommodation we have made a research and we recommend the hotel OSCAR (in the center of Athens near to Omonia square) tel: 0030 210 8834215 – 19, fax: 0030 210 8216368 and 0030 210 8256890 (the prices are approximately 45euros for double and 40euros for single room). Also in the seaside (where the BAVA’s Cross-Country champs will be held) we recommend the hotels CONGO PALACE (tel: 0030 210 8946711, fax: 0030 210 8946719, OASIS (tel: 0030 210 8941662, fax: 0030 210 8941724) and GALAXY (tel: 0030 210 9818603, fax: 0030 2109844020) were the prices are a little bit higher but can be better according to the number of athletes.
Of course through internet you can find any type and kind of hotel you like. Athens is a huge city with a lot of accommodation facilities.
If you want any kind of information, collaboration and help we are at your disposal.
Please send to us the soonest possible also the list of the athletes of your federation wanting to compete in the Cross-Country competitions writing correctly the names (given at last) the sex and the categories they belong.
